Commitment to Renewable Energy
In light of the scarcity of water supply over the years, Keystone Microtech sought to clean up the water recycling system previously in service by removing the sediment for revitalizing the system at the end of 2022. The recycled rain water will be used in the operation. The Company will assess the status of using recycled rainwater and the recycling rate. The running water pool currently in service can hold approximately 36 tons of water for the consumption in 2 days. For fortifying the water resources backup mechanism, the Company also planned to build a horizontal water tower at the basement of the new office building. It is estimated that the full load could hold an additional 28 tons of water for backup.
In supporting the green energy policy of the government, Keystone Microtech spent NT$2.67 million to install a photovoltaic power generator at the rooftop of the 5th floor of the office building since 2022. The installation of this generator will complete after 2023, and is expected to supply 30.kW of electricity. The fee for bulk purchase of power supply from Taiwan Power Company is NT$5.5709/KwH under the purchase agreement. The electrical power will be directed to the building of the corporate headquarters for consumption. It is estimated that the power generation capacity of the photovoltaic device at the rooftop of the office building will be further expanded to the total capacity of about 66.kW.
